Lulo Reinhardt: Latin Swing Guitar Virtuoso
Lulo Reinhardt is a German Sinti guitarist known for his fusion of Gypsy jazz, Latin, and world music. He comes from the renowned Reinhardt family, which includes the legendary Django Reinhardt. His music blends traditional Sinti influences with Brazilian, Flamenco, and Swing elements, creating a unique and expressive sound. He started playing guitar at an early age and soon developed his own distinctive style. He has founded several projects, including I Gitanos and the Lulo Reinhardt Latin Swing Project, with which he has performed internationally. His performances are celebrated for their rhythmic complexity and emotional depth. In addition to his work as a musician, he conducts workshops to share his knowledge and passion for music. He is considered one of the leading world music guitarists of his generation.
Alexandra Whittingham: British Classical Guitar Innovator
Alexandra Whittingham is a British classical guitarist recognized for her expressive and technically refined performances. She began playing guitar at the age of five and later studied at Chetham’s School of Music in Manchester before earning a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music in London. Her career gained momentum when she started sharing her performances online, garnering millions of views. She has played internationally, including at the Cayman Islands Arts Festival and the South by Southwest Festival. Her debut album, My European Journey, released in 2021, was praised for its romantic guitar interpretations and its spotlight on lesser-known composers. She regularly performs in chamber music ensembles and collaborates with other musicians. Her playing is known for its tonal beauty and musical depth. Her recordings have received high praise from the music press.
Elodie Bouny: Venezuelan Classical Guitarist & Composer
Elodie Bouny is a French-Venezuelan classical guitarist, composer, and music educator. She was born in Caracas, Venezuela, and started playing guitar at an early age. She completed her studies in Paris at the Conservatoire de Boulogne-Billancourt with highest honors. She then refined her skills with Pablo Márquez at the Conservatory of Strasbourg, expanding her style to include historical and improvisational music. Her professional career flourished in Brazil, where she participated in festivals and contributed to opera productions. Particularly notable is her opera Paper Men, which premiered in 2022 at the Theatro Municipal in São Paulo. She performs internationally and composes works for solo guitar and ensembles. Her contributions to teaching and research have had a lasting impact on music education.
Alexandr Misko: Modern Fingerstyle Guitar Prodigy
Alexandr Misko is a talented fingerstyle guitarist known for his innovative approach. He started playing guitar at the age of 12 in Russia, first learning classical guitar before teaching himself the fingerstyle technique. In 2015, he gained international recognition when his video Guitar + Pen Tapping Song went viral. His 2017 cover of Billie Jean garnered over 30 million views, further boosting his popularity. Since then, he has released five albums, performed concerts worldwide, and played at Carnegie Hall in 2020. In 2023, he moved to Germany to further develop his musical career. His music combines technical mastery with expressive artistry, resonating with audiences across the globe.
